ICF water-repellent coating (ICF-FT)

By innovating the coating conditions, a surface treatment has been created that imparts water-repellent properties similar to fluororesin to DLC coatings. ■□■Features■□■ ■DLC coating with hardness equivalent to carbide (HV 1,000) and low friction coefficient (μ = 0.04 to 0.17). ■Due to its darker color compared to standard DLC products, it can be used for anti-reflective applications (wear resistance + thin film + black coating). ■Prevents mold contamination and contributes to improved productivity. ■Special specifications are available to enhance surface pressure against impacts in the vertical direction, which was a weakness of DLC. ■Applicable materials: carbide, SKH, SKD, SUJ2, SUS, ceramics, aluminum. ■Coating size: φ300 × 200 mm. ■Film thickness settings: standard 1 to 2 μm; ultra-thin films of 0.1 μm are also available. ■If you have experienced peeling with conventional DLC, please give it a try. For more details, please contact us.

Optical film water-repellent coating

Repels water in conjunction with coatings such as anti-reflective films! For flat components that require water-repellent properties on the surface!

The "water-repellent coating" has a strong bond and adhesion with the underlying layer, and it excels in water-repellency and lubricity. A water-repellent film is a film that has the ability to repel water on its surface, and due to its properties, it can easily wipe away dirt such as oils and fats that adhere to the surface, which is why it is also referred to as anti-fingerprint, anti-dirt film, AF (Anti Finger Print), PF (Print Free), and AS (Anti Scratch). Items treated with this coating can also easily wipe off oil-based marker ink, which forms beads. 【Features】 ■ Strong bond and adhesion with the underlying layer ■ Excellent water-repellency and lubricity ■ Repels not only water but also ink from oil-based markers *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.

[Video Explanation] Improvement of Transportability - Scaling Down Transport Equipment | Water Repellent

Making it smoother with the water-repellent power of the coating! Introducing a comparison video with commercially available water-repellent agents.

Are you facing issues such as 'it takes time for transportation,' 'the transportation equipment takes up space,' 'slipping is poor,' or 'I want to reduce the scale of the equipment'? Our company provides a video comparing the 'dynamic water repellency' of stainless steel as is and stainless steel with JC coating. We demonstrate how water behaves when dropped on coated plates with JC coating, PTFE, and commercially available water repellents. Would you like to implement solutions in your factory to achieve 'shorter transportation times,' 'downsizing transportation equipment,' and 'improving transportability'? *You can view the detailed content of the column through the related link. For more information, please feel free to contact us.

Non-fluorinated water-repellent coating 'SAMLAY(R)'

Coating agents that can easily form films on materials such as glass and metal.

"SAMLAY(R)" is a coating agent that, despite being halogen-free and not containing substances like fluorine, has excellent water-repellent properties. It can be applied to various substrates (glass, metal, silicon, metal oxides, etc.). Additionally, it forms a SAM (self-assembled monolayer), resulting in a very thin film that does not affect appearance. 【Features】 ■ Wet method: No vacuum equipment required. Easy film formation on large substrates. ■ Fast film formation: SAM formation is completed in a few minutes. ■ Stability: Reusable and maintains long-term activity. ■ Halogen-free. ■ Applicable substrates: Silicon, glass, metal, metal oxides, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Technical Introduction: "Super Water-Repellent Coating Technology"

By applying invisible micro-processing to the lens surface, we achieve a highly durable super water-repellent function!!

"Super hydrophobic coating that ensures clear visibility" In recent years, sensing cameras for autonomous driving, driver assistance cameras, and surveillance cameras have become widespread. As a result, super hydrophobic coatings that maintain clear visibility even in rainy weather have become increasingly important. It is well known that lotus leaves achieve super hydrophobicity by creating a rough surface structure (the lotus effect). However, the rough structure is vulnerable to abrasion, and particularly in the case of applied super hydrophobic materials, there have been challenges regarding abrasion resistance. To address this issue, instead of creating roughness through application, we formed the rough structure by etching hard inorganic materials, and by maintaining a two-tiered structure for strength, we significantly improved abrasion resistance. This provides a clear view without water droplets even in rainy conditions. Please feel free to contact us for inquiries or consultations. Contact: KMOCsupport@konicaminolta.com

Comparison of Egg Peeling Ease and Time Reduction in Cleaning [Instructional Video]

Improvement of residue removal with JC coat! A must-see for those working in egg processing factories!

Are you worried about "leftover food residue," as well as concerns like "once the ingredients dry, they are difficult to remove" or "wanting to shorten cleaning time" and "wanting to reduce loss and contamination risks due to adhesion"? In this column, we are sharing a video comparing "egg adhesion suppression and ease of peeling after drying" between stainless steel and stainless steel coated with JC coat. You can see how adhesion occurs and how easy it is to peel off after drying, so please take a look. 【Related Videos】 ■ Comparison of slip characteristics of water, egg, and flour mixture ■ Comparison of slip characteristics of milk *You can view the detailed content of the column through the related links.
